Wellness

Diagnostic testing determines the root cause of your pet’s illness.  Since our pets can’t talk, diagnostic testing plays a vital role in helping your pet stay healthy. As a pet owner, you play a key role in managing your pet’s health and it is important to analyze a change in their behaviors or appearance.

Full routine physical exams, blood work, and proper nutrition are key factors in maintaining the overall health of your pet. We want to help your pets by preventing and detecting illnesses at the earliest stage before it is too late. Early screenings can lead to a better outcome for your pet’s overall health -— now and in the future.

Diagnostic Testing

We want to help your pets by preventing and detecting illnesses at the earliest stage before it is too late. Early screenings can lead to a better outcome for your pet’s overall health now and in the future.

Our Essential Care Blood Work includes the following:

Diagnostic Testing: This covers standard blood work, urinalysis, and a fecal test. These tests are essential to getting a look at your pet’s overall health through major organs such as their kidney, liver and their gastrointestinal tract!

Infectious Disease Screening: This test can indicate if your pet has been exposed to any tick-borne diseases and heart worm disease!

Exclusively for Cats: The screening also includes the Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency virus (FIV) tests– the most common diseases in cats.

For more Advanced Testing, we also provide:

Thyroid function test: Did you know that Thyroid Disease is very common in older cats and dogs? This test detects whether or not your pet’s thyroid gland is functioning properly.

Heart Disease Screening Test (BNP): This test provides an assessment of your pet’s heart health through a blood test!

It is more than just a checkup! Through diagnostic testing, we are able to detect health concerns early and commit to ensuring the happiest and healthiest lives for your pets!

Radiology

Our clinic offers in-house radiology (AKA X-ray) and ultrasounds. Our in-house radiological analysis aids in determining the next step to getting your pet back on their paws again!

Pet accommodations

Our Imperial Animal Hospital Family is passionate about your companion and will go above and beyond your standards to ensure that your pet is provided with a safe, clean, and welcoming experience with us. Your pet will be in close proximity to their primary veterinarian and our caring staff to accommodate your pet’s needs during their stay.
